Iveta, Milan and 2x Petra
Our series of portraits of people from Singing Rock continues with four fellow workers from our metal fabrication plant in Sudkov. Thanks to them we can offer the world first-class crampons and ice axes, durable steel lanyards or reliable rings and hangers for bolting climbing routes.Iveta Hélová
Iveta has been with us for 18 years and during that time she has been through everything. From products long forgotten through heaps of unpopular work tasks (such as grinding blanks for D-45 forgings, the so-called D-rings). Today her most frequent job is pressing steel lanyards. She has already produced something like 70 000 pieces of them!
Even after such a heavy workload she doesn't hang around. She walks or cycles 9 km between work and home, still with the same smile and vigour. She can simply smile like such a "good spirit" of our team! She is a lover of nature, her children, her garden and also makes wreaths, candle holders and other decorative elements.Milan Koncoš
A newcomer in our metal fabrication plant in Sudkov, he has only been with us for a year and a half. Milan got to know the work in an authority, in an office and in workshops in larger companies but he settled in our manufactory where the main theme is climbing gear. He does a lot of that "black" work like locksmithing and blacksmithing. For example, he bends rings or hanger plates by hand - just try it!
With his long blonde hair and face perpetually black with graphite, he resembles a fallen rock angel, which fits well with his musician and art soul. He performs in the theatre, plays and teaches guitar and keyboard, writes short stories and avidly searches for mushrooms. Milan is a bit of a solitaire but he feels at home at Singing Rock and that makes us very happy. His willingness to learn new things is a blessing for us!Petra Hásová
For the tenth year, the heart and head of our completing workshop. A relentless worker, few can keep up with her pace! She catches up and saves troubles with total commitment. She treats colleagues fairly and directly. Her only drawback is that she cannot be cloned!
Petra handles most of the climbing hardware production - crampons, ice axes, ascenders, ice screws, pitons and a ton of other junk. Specifically, she is responsible for 34 000 crampons and 51 000 ice axes! Other than work, her main interests are her grandchildren, mushrooms, and her garden.Petra Šubrtová
Petra has a wonderful combination of qualities: she is meticulous, she puts things in order, she knows what is needed and she still learns new things. For 8 years she has been a vital cog in the gears of our plant to keep it running as it should. Her imprint is on a large part of regulations and production documentation. Thanks to her you can absolutely rely on the quality of our products... because Petra doesn't make, Petra destroys! (one of her jobs is destructive testing on a tensile machine :)
She devotes most of her time to family, sports (including climbing), culture and garden - that is, flower beds, bushes and trees.
